Books #33 thru #38
Submitted by jennie on Sun, 07/12/2009 - 20:40Book #33: The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold finished reading on June 2, 2009.
I really enjoyed this book. It's not really what you expect it will be and I was glad for that. I finished it quickly and would recommend it. It's a nice thought of what Heaven could be like, too.
Book #34: The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield finished reading on June 10, 2009.
Books #30 thru #32
Submitted by jennie on Sun, 05/31/2009 - 20:24I'm actually kind of behind now. I only read 3 books in May. :( So, I need to catch up. It's not that I haven't been reading -- it's another boring book that is in the way that I'm trying to finish -- it's in my laptop back. It will get finished this year but since I have put it aside for a little while, it's allowed me to get back on track.
Book #30: Pretty in Plaid by Jen Lancaster finished on May 15, 2009
Books #26 thru #29
Submitted by jennie on Sun, 04/26/2009 - 22:45Book #26: Untamed by PC Cast finished on April 6, 2009
Book #27: Hunted by PC Cast finished on April 10, 2009
Well, the two above PC Cast books were interesting. I'll probably continue to read the series when the next one comes out. I thought that the first book of the series was the best. I think that sometimes the story was dragged on a little too much. I hope they come up with some better story lines because I think they have a good cast of characters.
Books #21 thru #25
Submitted by jennie on Sat, 04/04/2009 - 18:09Book #21: Harvesting the Heart by Jodi Picoult finished on March 25, 2009
I thought this was one of Jodi's better books. I did think that it ended too suddenly and would have liked a different ending. I did enjoy reading the book.
Book #22: Anne of Avonlea by Lucy Maud Montgomery finished on March 27, 2009
I've been reading this book for awhile because it's on my phone. It is a bit slow since Anne is a bit long winded, but I enjoy the stories.
Book #19 and #20
Submitted by jennie on Thu, 03/19/2009 - 20:05Book #19: Mr. Maybe by Jane Green finished on March 14, 2009
It was an okay book. Not one of Jane's best. I found it a litle slow going.
Book #20: The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger finished on March 19, 2009
Book #18
Submitted by jennie on Fri, 03/13/2009 - 13:31Book #18: Handle with Care by Jodi Picoult finished reading on Monday, March 9, 2009
While I like the writing of Jodi Picoult, I was a bit disappointed in the ending of this book. A lot of people compare this book to My Sister's Keeper, but I haven't read that book, yet, so no comparing going on here. This was a typical Jodi book. I found the subject interesting. I found myself a lot of times in the book asking why? And in the end, it's like what was the meaning of the whole book, so I guess that's why it was so disappointing.
Book #17
Submitted by jennie on Tue, 03/03/2009 - 21:04Book #17: Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult finished reading on March 3, 2009
I'm really getting into Jodi's books. I'm finding them interesting even though I'm wondering if all of them have a case scene in them because those are a little boring to me. I enjoyed reading this book because it was about the Amish and reading about their life. I didn't see the twist at the end -- I actually thought it was someone else. O'well.

Basic Chick Lit. I enjoyed the book and will probably read more of Sarah's books. They are basic fun books to read.
